Waco Rotary welcomes Megan Henderson, executive director of the Waco Downtown Development Corporation, to its membership.
 

Megan Henderson is originally from Hillsboro and earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Texas. She has served as Main Street Project Manager fro the City of Marlin and City Manager for the City of Rosebud. Prior to her current position, she served as Regional Services Director for the Heart of Texas Council of Governments. She was president of the Texas Association of Regional Councils Economic Development Staff Association and a Board Member of the Heart of Texas Economic Development District. She also served on the Falls County Historical Commission and the City of Waco Historic Landmark Preservation Commission. She also serves as a Waco Education Alliance Government Stakeholder. Megan has been chosen for the a national advisory committee advising the Economic Development Administration's creation of a tool for evaluating Triple Bottom Line development and was chosen to present on innovative approach to Comprehensive Economic Development Planning by the National Association of Development Organizations.

Megan is married to Troy Henderson. She has two children and two stepchildren. She enjoys reading and her civic interests include the arts, outdoor recreation and libraries.
